body for professionals involved in building and construction design.
Members must comply with the BDA Code of Ethics and other professional
standards laid down by the Association. Design Institute of AustraliaThe Design Institute of Australia (DIA) is a professional body that
represents designers across all disciplines. It is the body through which
designers network and communicate with industry, government and the community.
The purpose of the DIA as a professional body for designers is to enhance
the status of its members, their recognition and influence in the community,
and their professional well being. To do this, the Institute must set
minimum standards of ability that a full member must possess and set
standards of professional behaviour that all the membership must adhere
to. DIA membership standards and the required experience level for a
full member are based on the guidelines of the International design bodies
(International Federation of Interior Architects/Interior Design, International
Council of Societies of Industrial Design, International Council of Graphic

Fire Protection Association AustraliaThe Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA) is a national body representing companies and individuals who provide products and services in the areas of fire protection and organisations that consume or use those goods. The FPA's membership structure provides for consumers of fire related products and services to be actively involved in a range of committees with the providers of those goods. All Corporate members in the business of providing fire related products and/or services within Australia must be bound by the FPA's Code of Practice for the Fire Protection Industry. FPA has an established process for handling complaints from consumers against association members who are signatories to the association's Code of Practice. FPA also receives complaints from the general public in regards to inappropriate practices by companies and advises the relevant government department/agency or representative organisation of the consumers' concerns and issues.

surveying, land information, and spatial information professionals in Australia.
The national body governs membership and national issues, with divisions
in each State and Territory. All members are committed to abide by the Institution's
Code of Ethics. Consumers should contact their State regarding complaints.
Royal Australian Institute of ArchitectsThe Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA) is a national body that represents Australian architects, consisting of over 8000 members across Australia and overseas. The Institute was formed in 1930 when state architectural Institutes combined to form a unified national association, with the aim to advance architecture, maintain the integrity and standing of the profession, promote the profession's views and encourage the study of architecture. The RAIA has established a Code of Professional Conduct, which is mandatory for membership. The Institute has disciplinary procedures for dealing with complaints against members for breaches of the Institute's Code of Conduct.
